Objectives

Objective and Declaration of Policy

The Propeller Club of the United States is a non-profit organisation, whose membership is representative of every aspect of the maritime industry and whose members reside throughout the United States and the world.

It is dedicated to the enhancement and well-being of all interests of the maritime community on a national and international basis.

It promotes private sector enterprise in ownership and operation of waterborne and intermodal transportation systems, including associated industries, particularly those linking the United States and its trading partners.

Its objectives are:

  1. (i)  To promote and support the merchant marine, including shipyards and other allied industries

    (ii) To promote waterborne commerce and the marine industry in all its segments including harbour development
     
  2. To develop policies to enhance mutually beneficial relationships between all member ports
     
  3. To maintain a continuing programme of public relations, education and goodwill among exporters and importers, the maritime industry and the public generally
     
  4. To collaborate with other organisations whose members are dedicated to the promotions of he best interests of maritime shipping and allied industries
     
  5. To promote a spirit of friendship and common purpose among persons engaged or having an interest in the merchant marine and allied industries
     
  6. To encourage the development of trade between countries.
